Little places to know about.

This is another store I like to classify as a time machine of flavors, sounds and sight.
It’s the typical bbq corner with the roasted ducks hanging on the window, and the red lantern at the door, but once you step in, it becomes something more and delicious.
They serve a variety of dishes for each day of the week, and they also have the traditional foods: shar siu (roasted pork belly), the roasted duck (cooked a very specific oven) and my all time favourite, the wonton noodle soup!

It mostly reminded me of the little memories I still have from when I used to live in Macau as a child. The men on the other side of the counter screaming at each other in cantonese was really cool, I could close my eyes for a moment and I was back in Macau. When I spoke to the cashier he immediately identified me as a Portuguese, because he lived there and crossed by a few. “Really nice people.“, he said with a smile.

And there it was, my favorite chinese dish of all times.

Eating at the counter, it’s by far the best wonton noodle soup I’ve eaten for ages.

The hanging ducks.

About the Bullet Oven on the wall.

The take away kit includes a shar siu bao. A steamed bun with slices of roasted pork belly and cabbage.

If you’re planning to go to Dublin, I totally recommend going there for a bite, because even though it’s not trad Irish food, it just tastes so original!
